Across New York, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Forest Hills is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Forest Hills is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Came here twice to try the Sea Salt Vanilla Latte, iced and hot versions. The spring menu did not mention it has cinnamon but the hot Sea Salt Vanilla Latte I got did have cinnamon, enough so that I could not taste sea salt and the cinnamon overpowers the vanilla taste. However there was no cinnamon in the iced version of the drink when I bought it last time. When I asked the worker about the hot drink, she said it is supposed to have cinnamon (like the Golden Bloom Latte that has it explicitly stated on the menu) and sorry. It happened towards the end of a Saturday afternoon rush, and the workers seemed overwhelmed. It also seemed like the receipts were not printing and all orders had to be handwritten, probably contributing to the crowding of customers. I also tried the spinach and feta croissant as well on my first visit and it was tasty. They are able to heat it up for you. There is a single bathroom for customers to use. They only have a small menu up front where the cash register is, so when there is a line, you cannot figure out what you want until you get up there in front to order. The staff seemed to have a hint of annoyance for both times I visited, although they seemed

I had a pistachio doughnut filled with pistachio custard. It was glazed lightly and sprinkled with pistachio parts. The custard inside was very good but there was not much of it. The part of the donut that was not the filling was more bread-like than what you would experience with a typical doughnut. Of course this is not a typical doughnut. I consider this doughnut to be a better companion for coffee than the typical fried do you get with a hole in the middle. It was a five dollar doughnut, cheaper than a fancy coffee.

Loved everything about this cafe! The barista was so so friendly, she took my order fast and I was in and out. It was quite busy but she managed to be efficient. The prices are fair, coffee was delicious, sandwich was healthy and filling. 10000% coming back here for the food, coffee, and especially service!

As many have said, there was a painfully long wait for this place to open. The neighborhood watched as construction and decoration completed, yet the final lights on and doors open seemed to take forever. Why the anticipation? Because the Metropolitan edge of one of the top Queen's neighborhoods did not have a real barista centered café. That said, expectations, and the possibilities for disappointment, were quite high. I can now say that Hill's cafe not only fills the void with excellence, but it sets a new standard for a neighborhood cafe. The decor is efficient, comfortable, and pleasing to look at. The staff, given some small forgiveness that all new places are allowed, are very friendly, very skilled, and provide great service. All the drinks we have tried were excellent. John made a fantastic matcha today, sweetened it perfectly, and actually provided table service! There was a young woman a few days ago who made a perfect chai latte. Their assortment of bakery goods, all sourced from their supplier, seems to vary each time, with a few constants, but is presented quite appetizingly, and all that I have sampled (banana bread, a big round croissant, a coconut custard cream
